Reinsurance Contract Analyst


Transverse is looking for a dynamic and engaging Reinsurance Contract Analyst who is looking for an opportunity to join an industry-leading Property & Casualty insurance carrier focused on partnering with Reinsurers, MGAs/Program Administrators, and Insurtechs.

The Reinsurance Contract Analyst plays an important role within the organization, ensuring that our various reinsurance contracts are consistent with negotiated terms & conditions and reflect our corporate risk appetite. The Reinsurance Contract Analyst will assure that the work they do is concise, accurate, and complete.

Essential Functions

· Review/edit/create/interpret reinsurance contracts to accurately memorialize negotiated reinsurance placement terms

· Working knowledge of standard market wordings and the ability to identify and resolve potential technical issues

· Work closely with brokers/reinsurers throughout the placement process

· Assist in finding creative reinsurance solutions

· Maintain positive relationships with and appropriately represent the Company to all reinsurance partners

· Act as the liaison between Transverse and Brokers/Reinsurers for questions/inquiries associated with contract wording

· Assist in additional projects as assigned


· Bachelor’s Degree (job-related majors/fields of study a plus) ARe or CPCU a plus

· Advanced degrees/job-related designations a plus


· Five + years of experience working on reinsurance wording in a US/London market environment.

· Meaningful knowledge of reinsurance placements, terms & conditions, including statutory and reinsurance accounting implications

· Technical and/or analytic experience that can be adapted to current technologies

· Strong verbal and written communication skills

· Analytical, decision making, problem resolution, and organizational skills
